Enlisted Ranks
The Enlisted Ranks (E-1 through E-6)
Each member of the Royal Dragoon Guards has an enlisted rank, grade E-1 through E-6. If a member is currently serving in a leadership billet that gives them an NCO or Officer rank, they are addressed by that rank instead. The permanent enlisted grade is where they will revert to if they are voted out of their position.
These permanent grades confer no leadership authority, that is conferred by elected or appointed billets that allow for NCO or Officer rank. The purpose of these grades is as a mark of participation and seniority within the unit. As a Persona is promoted through these ranks, they will earn more money in the game campaign.

Recruit (Rct) |
|
| NO INSIGNIA | The Recruit is the lowest rank in the Royal Dragoon Guards. Members and most Personae start their career here. A Recruit may or may not have any experience or training from before becoming a mercenary in the Royal Dragoon Guards Battalion, so it is up to the RDG to ensure that they are well-trained enough not to be a danger to themselves or others during unit operations. Recruits make the least amount of pay, and receive the worst duty assignments.ADDRESS : “Recruit Smith”, or simply “Smith” | |

Recruits who have passed their Basic Mercenary Training are are deemed reasonably proficient enough to go on to an active duty assignement are promoted to Private. Privates continue to draw much of the unwanted duties, but are paid more than recruits and are at least considered full-fledged members of the unit by the other members. Private First Class (Pfc) |
|

The Private First Class (or Proud Frakkin’ Civilian) is the grade to which Privates rise after they have gained some experience with the Royal Dragoon Guards and has “seen the elephant”. By unit tradition, no Dragoon can rise to PFC until they have seen action with the unit. Only after proving themselves in combat can they be advanced to this status, which speaks volumes to a long-serving member of the RDG about the Dragoon wearing the chevron. ADDRESS : “P-F-C Smith”, or “Private First Class Smith” formally. By tradition, a PFC and above is NEVER addressed by last name only, or shortened for convenience to simply “Private”. Do to so would be an insult to the Pfc’s combat experience. | |

The Master Specialist indicates a total mastery of the skills involved in the Dragoon’s specialty. The Master Specialist ranks available are:

A Technical Sergeant is addressed as “Technical Sergeant Smith” or “Tech Sergeant Smith” to differentiate him from Sergeants with full NCO status.
