Combat Awards
Combat Awards
Combat awards are issued for actions taken in Persona, and represent the accomplishments of the current Persona being played by the member. If a member changes Persona for any reason, they do not continue to wear the Combat Awards of the previous persona unless specifically stated under the award description.
Combat awards are submitted to the Battalion Awards Committee for approval.

It is never, under any circumstances, awarded for non-combat actions or actions performed when not actively engaged. Actions that merit the Order of the Lance might include those that place the nominee in significantly higher jeopardy in order to complete a mission objective, or safeguard the rest of their unit, allies, or civilian populace than would qualify for the MCUF. | |

|
Awarding Authority: |
Awards Committee | |
|
Description: |
The Ace titles exist out of tradition dating back to the first combat pilots in the First World War. A MechWarrior or Aerospace Pilot is considered to be an Ace when five confirmed kills are credited to their record. Ten confirmed kills merits a Double Ace, and twenty-five Ace of Aces.
Special Rules : A “confirmed kill” is credited each time a BattleMech or Aerospace Fighter is rendered combat-ineffective. This can be the result of actual destruction, engine destruction, surrender, ejection or any other situation that takes that asset out of the fight. When a kill is declared, the GM will quickly poll the players on who the kill will be credited to. The player(s) nominated to receive the kill credit may not vote, but they may voluntarily yield the kill to someone else. The GM will resolve ties. On Persona Change : If a member retires a Persona, or the persona is KIA or otherwise removed from the campaign, the player may continue to display the Ace award, but must re-set their Confirmed Kill total to zero, and work toward the next award from there. |
